If you log in to the virtual currency exchange MEXC with your email address and password and trade safely on the platform, you may forget your email address or password and become unable to log in. I have written an article that explains how to solve this problem. Please try to reference.
Information required for login
The information required for login is three pieces of information by e-mail address (phone number), password, and two-step verification (Google Authenticator, SMS). If any one of them is missing, login will not succeed.
Reasons and solutions for not being able to log in
I will give you the reasons and solutions for not being able to log in. If any of these apply to you, try the solutions. If you have any difficulties, please contact the support center. Please refer to the article below.
Incorrect e-mail address (mobile phone number)
You may have entered your email address or phone number incorrectly. This is one of the common patterns of why you cannot log in to MEXC. In addition, you may not be able to log in due to differences in uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as letters and numbers. Please check the entered characters carefully. If you do not know the email address you used when registering, please contact our support center.
forgot password wrong
There is a pattern that the password is wrong or that the password is forgotten. You can solve it by resetting your password and setting a new password. Click “Forgot Password” at the bottom left of the login screen. It can now be reset.
Enter your email address (or mobile phone number), click “Next” and solve the puzzle. When you click “Get Code”, you will receive an email, so enter the authentication code described in the text and click “Next”. Then you can set a new password.
lost my Google Authenticator
There is also a pattern that says that you have lost Google Authenticator with two-factor authentication code. If you cannot authenticate due to damage to your smartphone, model change, etc., you can restore the authentication code by using the “setup key” that you made a note of during setup. Open the Google Authenticator app and click the “+” at the bottom right of the screen. You can restore by entering “Enter the setup key” from the menu that appears. Also, if you forget the key, you need to contact support.
account freeze
There is also a pattern that the account is frozen due to some kind of violation. There is nothing that the user can do about this. Please contact the support center.
server down
There is a pattern of not being able to log in due to the MEXC side cause of server down. If you see an error screen such as “404” after logging in, the server may be down. In this case, you have no choice but to wait a while and log in again.
Wrong two-factor authentication input
There is an error in entering the two-factor authentication code. There is a possibility that the code has expired and a pattern of entering a different authentication code. The two-factor authentication code has an expiration date, so even if you enter an expired code, it will not be authenticated. Please issue a new authentication code by reissuing it.
account hacking
In addition, some users skip two-factor authentication and there are cases where the account itself is hacked by a third party. If your account is hacked, you will not be able to log in. Since it is highly likely that your login information will be rewritten, we recommend that you contact the support center as soon as possible.
Freeze account
If your account is frozen, you will not be able to log in. This means that it has been locked by the administrator, so you will never be able to log in. Therefore, in this case, it depends on whether you can negotiate with the operator and have them unlock it. If unlocking is difficult, we recommend using another exchange.
